Crispy Kale Chip Recipe

Here's how to make kale chips! What follows is a very easy recipe for making delicious and crispy kale chips.

It takes about 20 minutes to complete this recipe, with 10 minutes of prep time, up to 10-12 minutes for roasting.

Kale is truly one of the best foods you can eat... high in antioxidant vitamins A, K, and C, as well as a good source of minerals copper, potassium, iron, manganese, and phosphorus. Kale may provide significant health benefits, including cancer protection and lowered cholesterol.

Kale chips make an amazingly better substitute for other salty snacks, such as chips. (And for you gardeners, kale is VERY easy to grow!)

  • 10+ stalks of kale leaves
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • 1 teaspoon of Garlic Gold Seal Salt Nuggets (or about plain sea salt, or cayenne pepper or taco seasoning, chili powder)
  • Directions
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Prepare 1 or 2 cookie sheets.
    3. Spray cookie sheet(s) with olive oil spray.
    4. Remove kale leaves from stems, tearing in bite-size pieces. (Do not wash kale; do so earlier if necessary and let dry.)
    5. Spray the kale with olive oil spray.
    6. Sprinkle Garlic Gold* sea salt nuggets -- or your topping of choice -- on the kale pieces.
    7. Place in oven for 8-10 minutes.
    8. After 8 minutes, check kale for crispiness; rearrange and put back in oven for another 5 minutes -- or until kale pieces are all dry, crisp.
